We had a lovely time enjoying the good included breakfast and exploring the central location, which is conveniently just a 10-minute walk from Syntagma Square. The kids especially appreciated the friendly staff who made us feel at home during our stay.
In my kids’ opinion, the sockets need fixing.

The food scene here is legit! Check out O Thanasis for some epic grilled meat and The Greco's Project for tasty twists on classic Greek dishes. Plus, the hotel is perfectly located, just a stroll from buzzing Monastiraki square and the staff is super friendly!
The shower was a bit cramped with no curtains, so expect a wet floor.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms had an inviting old-world charm with parquet flooring and cozy decor. The location was fantastic, just a short stroll from Monastiraki Square and other attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially when we arrived late at night. They even prepared our room with air conditioning before we arrived, which was a delightful touch!
The breakfast could use some improvement.

I really enjoyed my stay with a fantastic view of the Acropolis right from my room, and the cozy sun terrace was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The only downside was the breakfast options were a bit limited, but with so many great places nearby, it wasn't a big deal. I'd recommend grabbing a coffee from the local cafe down the street to kickstart your day! ☕️

The room was comfy with reliable AC, which was nice in the heat. The style is older, but I kinda liked that retro vibe. Beds were decent enough to get a good night's sleep. Only downside was the tiny bathroom—super cramped and the door opens into the sink. Also had some hot water issues, which was a bit annoying, especially for showers.

The charming neo-classical architecture and stunning rooftop views made me feel like I was living in a postcard of Athens, it was quite lovely! The lift, though old-fashioned, added character and was manageable for my needs.
More attention needed for room maintenance.

I appreciated the unpretentious charm of The Cecil. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Athens on foot. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing assistance when needed. My room was comfortable, with daily cleaning. It was a bit basic, but I wasn't looking for luxury. Breakfast had a decent variety, which satisfied me. However, there were some drawbacks. The breakfast could be improved with more options. Also, I noticed that the fire exit signs led to locked doors, which is concerning. Some features felt outdated, which might not appeal to everyone. Wi-Fi was occasionally spotty, making it tough to plan day trips at times. Overall, it was a comfortable place to stay with some room for improvement.
